Mix Logic - Acromix Enhanced and Sustained

 

Acromix was a good and capable mix control system. The problems started when the WinPLC became obsolete - a licensing issue forced the makers to cease production. The software used to program this PLC is now obsolete. Your system is frozen in time. Changes cannot be made. New features cannot be added. The creators of Acromix are no longer available to help.

 

 

It was a good system - but, sadly, is not today. Mix Logic was created to replace Acromix - to build on its strengths and to overcome its weaknesses.

 

Mix Logic is Acromix enhanced.

* The obsolete WinPLC is replaced with one of the best and fastest PLCs on the market.

* The old, smaller, dark display is replaced with a large, bright display.

* Mix Logic offers advanced powder charging methods and superior slump capabilities.

* The animated display shows the batcher position and qty per ingredient while batching.

* Remote and on-site support are available. We are “there” when help is needed.

* We can access your system remotely and often on short notice.

* The Mix Logic PLC CPU and HMI can be repaired/replaced.

What do clients that have upgraded to Mix Logic have to say?

 

Due to an electrical surge, we lost our WinPLC. We were advised to contact KCC Software. Before we even had a contract in place, KCC Software sent us a replacement WinPLC CPU and worked with our staff to locate and replace damaged I/O cards in the PLC backplane.

 

KCC Software was able to update our control system in two days. They left us with a laptop equipped so they could monitor our system remotely and assist if problems appear again. It is comforting knowing that we have their support in a matter of minutes if it is ever needed.

 

KCC Software came through for us and truly cared if we were in production before they worried about an upgrade contract. They came at their first opportunity and delivered a custom system that has run better than the old system - and should continue to do so for decades to come.

KCC Software worked with us to tweak our preact levels and jog times to make each subsequent mix as accurate and exact as the mix before. Upon our request, KCC Software created new reports and also added a tracking method that warns us in advance when new materials need to be ordered. We also asked for new features to be added and KCC Software did so by accessing our system remotely - installing and monitoring the changes while we ran.

We knew the WinPLC we were using was surely going to fail soon and we did not want to wait until that happened. So, we contacted KCC Software. We did not have access to the original source code, but the experience of KCC Software in upgrading many and varied mix systems allowed them to study our system and create an accurate and complete upgrade.

 

KCC Software agreed to start the installation over a weekend allowing us to minimize our production downtime. Thus, our upgrade only lost one half of a production day - we were running again on Monday afternoon. KCC Software created a beautiful user interface, reports, and guided calibration procedures that we did not have before making this a better system, not just newer.
